A boundless body cannot be contained to mere surfaces of skin and hairs
The mind cannot be compartmentalised
We are of ourselves and of others -
Of spaces
Of places
Of people
Of dreams.

Energetic forces between those static and those moving - rub shoulders, intwine.
Whole heartedly collapsing into one another
A process of imbrication
One is not parasite in leu of another hosting
They are met as equals
One is made both powerless and powerful through exposure
Utility not marking a value
A new function is imposed
It may appear violent
Will you hurt me?

Time is halted - slowed down
Moments of perpetration and yield straddle perilous fence lines
Threatening collapse, threatening puncture - a tender caress
Look a little closer - are they on the brink of embrace?
Not one exists without the other sustained
A withstanding rivalry
Tension to be met with surrender, like a hot knife through butter
